Blondes Don't have more fun!!
hey guys,
so if you follow me on twitter then you will already know that i dyed my hair brown on Thursday,
this is my second time to take the plunge from my natural colour blonde to brown,
now even though i say blonde was my natural colour, over the years it has had some help in the name of highlights and then eventually full tints, the upkeep of which is tedious and costly
Fed up with going to the hairdressers every 6 weeks, i decided to go brown in January with the help of a fantastic hairdresser in adore in cork, the colour started out as a dark brown but because of all the bleach and damage in my hair it faded to a light caramel brown quite quickly, i loved the colour and whenever the showthrough of blonde got too much i would just tone it down with a loreal casting creme gloss, once the sunshine in may came though i quickly realised i needed to go blonde again for the summer to avoid my colour bleaching in the American sun. I got a highlighting kit in boots and hey presto blonde again
Home from America though i really wanted to darken my hair again despite the risk of bleaching from the sun so i went to my local chemist where i picked up the loreal feria kit in the shade #58 bronze shimmer, i wasn't expecting much from the product but i was amazed at the results it gave a lovely even colour, covered all the blonde bits and gave my hair lots of life and dimension.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to dye their hair and at €7.99 its well worth it
let me know if you have any questions?

Boston Haul :)
Hi girls :)
so after 3 attempts at filming this as a video I have had to resign myself to the fact that my camera is not going to cooperate, so I'm doing it as a blog post instead!
Like I said before I didn't do much shopping when I was away seeing as I decided to come home and was on a flight 3 days later, but I'll show you what I did manage to grab, this is my beauty haul only, because the clothes I bought aren't very exciting (mainly just jeans and hoodies), anyway enough babble, onto the pictures:
ok so I went a bit crazy with oral care but anyway from l-r , walgreens generic teeth whitening strips, colgate whisps( the cutest things ever!! ) and crest 3D Whitening strips, so excited for shiny white gnashers :D
Next is all the kind of makeup things i bought, from L-R again,
1)UD primer potion tube in sin- i seriously love this stuff so i had to buy the tube,
2)Sephora-anti shiner primer
3)Maybelline age rewind primer- feels exactly like smashbox but only cost $4 ;)
4) Too Faced aqua bunny bronzer-
5) Benefit Bella Bamba Blush
6)Covergirl lash blast mascara- bought 2 of these , whoopsies :P
7)Makeup Forever Smokey Lash Mascara - 2 of these aswell <3
Random Ball on top) EOS lipbalm in summer berry
Fragrances
1) PINK by Victoria's secret aloha pink body splash
2) Victoria's Secret Lovespell body spray
3) Vera Wang Princess rollerball

Skincare

2)Victorias secret lovespell shimmer body lotion
3) Jergens natural glow gradual tanner
4) secret deodrant in powder fresh- nicest smell ever
and lastly random junk-
Carmex lipbalm sticks

I'm Not shipping up to boston!
hey guys,
I'm Back :)
so basically this is just a quick post to explain my J1 experience and why i'm home
if you follow me on twitter you'll know i left for boston on june 3rd
it was literally the most stressful time of my life, no jobs,no houses no fun
the whole j1 thing , living 11 people to a one room house, having no job and no money and being so far away from my home comfort really wasn't for me. I have come to the conclusion that i'm a home bird through and through and i couldn't deal with the isolation i felt over there.
So I'm home, back to blogging and filming and back where i belong :)

Shopping my stash :)
Hey Guys,
I decided today that since I'm pretty much on a spending ban until i get to Boston and i really felt like buying some new makeup to make myself feel better, that i would go through my makeup collection and fall in love with / resurrect some old products.
This proved very successful and i suggest everyone try it , its amazing the things we forget about
1) Too Faced bronzed and the beautiful set- bought in Paris last September but only used a few times, so perfect for summer :)
2) Gosh lipstick in Darling- my perfect nude colour :)
3) Urban Decay Multi-Benefit skyscraper mascara- This used to be my go to mascara before i found makeup forever smokey lash. It adds amazing volume and length and its brand new in the box :P
5) Soap & Glory- Sexy mother pucker - this came in the big box set i got for Christmas and its literally never been used , its a super pretty corally colour
6) Joico K-Pak re constructor -split end mender -used to be my favourite hair care product, hopefully will be again :)
Mac eyeliner- Teddy-such a pretty bronze colour ,can't wait t start using it again :)
And that's it, let me know if any of you shop your collections and find some gems :)

Hello guys :)
so today was probrably one of the best days of my life
today i had my slints and cast taken off my nose,
It's been 8 days since i had my surgery and while it wasn't really sore at any stage the cast was starting to get really uncomfortable.
I met my surgeon in his private clinic this morning and oh my god was i nervous, even though i wasn't having the procedure for cosmetic reasons i was so afraid it would look awful.
I was worried for nothing, when he had everything taken off the first thing he asked me to do was to breathe through my nose, and SHOCK HORROR, i could for the first time ever in my memory. I'm still getting used to how strange it feels :)
The next think he asked me to do was go look in the mirror, and as soon as i did i broke down in tears, even though i didn't feel that the appearance of my old nose bothered me when i saw it straight i was really emotional. No longer to i have to be self concious of my nose :)
It did bring an element of sadness to the day however because i do wish my mum could be here to see it as she was the one who was with me to start this journey 7 years ago but after a sneaky little cry with my cousin who was with me for support we were back to admiring the job
I cannot speak highly enough of my surgeon who has done everything he can to help me this last week.
Thanks for all the supportive comments and tweets :)
Love
Sarah
P.S i'm throwing in a pic of how i look right now, makeup free so excuse that but no cast so yay :D

My Rhinoplasty Experience
Hey,
so this is a fairly off topic post on my blog but its kind off all that's going on in my life right now so i decided i'd share my experience,
if you follow me on twitter or you watch my youtube videos then you'll know i had to have surgery on my deviated septum,
i had a septo-rhinoplasty. Most people would associate rhinoplasty with cosmetic "nose-jobs" and while that is in essence what i had done it was not for cosmetic reasons.
My problem first became obvious when i was about 12 i was having a lot of trouble with headaches and i started to notice that my nose was starting to look crooked and had a bump on it, i went to seen an ENT specialist who told me that i was just being vain and there was nothing wrong. I knew something wasn't right though and my doctor referred me for a second opinion , the second doctor was much nicer and told me that while there was a problem there was nothing they could do for me until i was 16 because the bones were still growing and operating at a young age could cause more damage.
When i was 16 i was reassessed and offered surgery to correct the breathing in my nose just after my 17th birthday, unfortunately as the time approached my mum was very ill with cancer and she died just a few days before i was due surgery so i was put back to the end of the waiting list as i was obviously in no state of mind to have surgery.
A few weeks ago i was offered a consultation with a surgeon in dublin who informed me that my condition was actually getting worse and two of the bones had collapsed, my nose was visabley crooked but as i got older it bothered me less and less but the surgery was still necessary to avoid serious medical problems in the future.
So on wednesday april 27th i was admitted for rhinoplasty. I was under general anastaetic so i remember nothing after i was wheeled into theatre but when i woke up i was very sick, my surgery had taken 4 hours and was only meant to take three, this meant they had to top up my anastatic levels which can strengthen the side effects, the next morning however i felt much better and i was discharged from hospital.
Three days after surgery I am beginning to feel normal again but i am still very tired and can't really go out of the house. I'm including some photos of how i look i hope they don't upset anyone.
I have to return to the hospital next week to have my splints and my cast removed and i will update after that
thanks for reading
